How to Check Pulse of a Patient ???

hello friends, today I'm gonna to show you how to check pulse rate.
This process is most easy to do. You're just only need wrist watch.

1.  Take a wrist watch.

2.  Place your finger on radial artery and start to feel the pulse.
*** radial artery is feel on the wrist joint on the side of thumb.

3. Start to count pulse in 10 second only

4. After that multiply the result with 6.

5. Now you got your pulse rate.

Normal pulse rate :-
1. Infants - 140/min
2. upto 6 month - 120/min
3. 3-5 year child - 90/min
4. Adult - 60-80/min

*** Average for adult - 72/min

hs - once nightly
bid - twice a day
tid - three times a day
qid - four times a day
ac - before meals
nocte - at night
prn - as needed
stat - right away
po - taken by mouth
IM/IV - taken by injection
