What is Haemorrhage???

Hello friends, Today we're taking about
Haemorrhage.
Our first question is what is haemorrhage.

Haemorrhage :- It is the escape of blood from a blood vessel externally or internally into the serous cavity.
This condition is called haemorrhage.

E.g., Imagine a water pipe is leaking in the kitchen. You know how its effect your home. So haemorrhage is also like that. It is blood leaking in our body.

Cause of Haemorrhage :-
1. Trauma to the vessel wall
2. Spontaneous haemorrhage
3. Inflammatory lesions of the vessel wall
4. Vascular disease
5. Elevated pressure within the vessels

Effect of Haemorrhage:-
1. The amount of blood loss
2. The speed of blood loss
3. The site of Haemorrhage

*** The loss of 20% of blood volume has little clinical effect.
*** A sudden loss of 33% blood volume may cause death.

Some terms :-
Hematoma :-  Extravasation of blood into tissue which result in swelling called haematoma.

Ecchymoses :- Large extravasation  of blood into the skin and mucous membranes.
